Dave said that if he had known about the birds he would have been even more excited about coming to the ranch.  He saw all of the above while sitting at the picnic table down by the river. . . .  I witnessed him having a great conversation with the deer -- was like a play to me -- the deer kept blowing noises at him... amazing!  We miss seeing him down by the river! Dave spotted over 25 species of birds. . . I know of a couple he missed, so hopefully some birdwatchers show up to  help me!

Wild Turkeys
Canada Geese
Pheasants
Magpie
Bald Eagles
Robins
(always tell us when it is going to rain)

and I said to myself... I bet there are so many bird lovers that would love to come and see all the birds here at the ranch. AND how incredibly lucky I am.

Here are others that I have seen throughout the days this spring:

Don said it was Western Tanager -- wow, what a beautiful bird BUT, I think it may have been a American Kestrel

Hawks of all kinds
Mourning Doves
(love their songs)
Woodpeckers
(annoying on the house!)
Kingbird's
Many Barn Swallows
(annoying -- BUT, we have NO mosquitos!!!)
Magpies
Crows
Ravens
Chickadee
Meadowlarks
Finches
Sandhill Crane
(incredible as they fly overhead)
Wood Ducks
Mallard Ducks
Osprey
Killdeer
(oh, how I love their sound)
Kingfisher
Yellow headed blackbirds
Golden Eagle
(got our miniature Schnauzer last year -- sad)
Hummingbirds
(grandfather wanted to "come back" as a hummingbird - SO, I hang many feeders, just in case)
Bluebirds
(majestic color!)
Sparrows

And many more that I have not identified. . . So, if you are interested in birds, this is the place to come!
