In celebration of National Get Outdoors Day June 13,
2009, Gaynor's Resorts is organizing activities for
children and the whole family.
Parents ... grab your kids, leave the gismos and
gadgets, tv's and computers behind and join us for a
whole weekend for great outdoor activites.
“In the not-so-distant past, kids ruled the country’s woods and valleys --- running
in packs, building secret forts and tree houses, hunting frogs and fish, playing
hide-and-seek behind tall grasses.” Richard Louv, Last Child in the Woods
Here at Gaynor’s Resorts we provide these opportunities…and more. We take
families back in time to a place that is safe and where kids can be kids.
There is a lot of buzz about the need for children to explore and participate in
nature and the outdoors. One of the best and most affordable options is to bring
your children to Gaynor’s Resorts. Gaynor’s in the Woods represents a pristine
place where kids can explore at their own pace … no tv’s, no computers, no
electronics. The kids – and their parents - really enjoy their experiences here.
The first annual ‘Get Outdoors’ Camp will be held the weekend of June 12 –
14th. Arrive by noon, check in and get settled…take a walk around the perimeter
of the property and get a lay of the land. Early dinner then off to explore til
Sunset. Evenings are spent under the brightly lit, star-filled Big Montana Sky.
Kids can sit around the campfire singing songs and listening to cowboy stories
while parents spend well earned time in the hot tub.
Weekend activities include riding, roping, grooming horses, swimmin’ in the
‘ole swimmin’ hole, fishing, digging for frogs, building forts, climbing trees,
tracking animals and making plaster molds of their footprints, watching
birds and water fowl, chasing butterflies, picking and pressing wildflowers,
and board games on the porch after a fun filled day.
